Association "FENIX 2009" is a non-governmental organization created for public benefit. The initiatives involve children and young people, supported by professionals, volunteers, parents and friends - supporting our cause. The association was founded by Ivan Tsvetanov, Svilen Stoyanov, Ivan Mihaylov and Milena Mincheva on the 9th of September 2009. The art director of the theater company "FENIX" in the period 2009/2020 is Svilen Stoyanov. We have realized 12 shows, two documentaries, many participations in theater festivals and won awards.
After the "Covid 19" pandemic and the forced pause for all us of 2 years, the "FENIX 2009" association is implementing a new ambitious project, financed by the "National Fund Culture" in 2023, under a program for the restoration and development of organizations in the field of amateur creativity.
We fulfilled our long-standing dream and founded the children's and youth theater art formation "FENIX Junior" with art director Iskra Ivanova. We presented 3 theater plays to the public, with the support of spnsors we published the children's book "Songs for small goats, little hands and tiny souls", participated in concerts, various performances and festivals in Varna, Sofia, Pazardzhik, Kiten, Shabla, Tryavna, Sozopol, etc.
The creation of the theater company "FENIX", and subsequently the children's and youth troupe "FENIX Junior" supports adolescents in their personal development, self-expression and building self-esteem. With the methods of artsq such as theater, music and applied arts, we shape art activities that develop the potential and skills of youth.
Our formation is for non-professional actors with different abilities - physical, sensory, mental and psychological conditions and youth without health problems.
Participation in our initiatives provides an opportunity to develop social skills. This is a wonderful opportunity for young people in the norm who want to learn more, communicate and show solidarity with people with deficits and specific needs.
