"Some of the children with special needs will never be high school graduates. Some of them have serious problems, others are educated from home – they do not receive a diploma, but only a certificate. They do not have a graduation ball. The graduation celebration will be among us. These children will stay at home next to their helpless mothers. If I burst, will someone give mine bread to eat?".
"As I was sitting at the "Kulturtentreger" festival stand in Varna, a group of children suddenly surrounded me. The mother of one of them was leading them to meet me. She told me they had SEN. If only I could put into words how ready these young people are, smiling, curious... How confidently he shakes my hand. How they jumped for joy when they were given children's books from us (most can read, but not all can comprehend what is read, yet they have encyclopaedic knowledge from listening and memorize speech enviably quickly). They made me very happy – they charged me with their positivity.
The children did not have a graduation ball... Oh no – they did. On the second day, their parents had organized a banquet at the beginning of the Sea Garden – food, fun, and dancing. What a party – supreme! They have established the successful theatre company "Fenix Junior" and participated in various festivals. They have published the interactive booklet "Songs for goats, hands, and tiny souls", which teaches children to concentrate thanks to speech, supports coordination and motor skills.
The booklet costs 10 leva and you can order it here: Fenix Junior/Феникс джуниър. They need money to travel, for theatre costumes, and for many more activities related to all their talents. If someone with the possibility is found to buy 200-300 booklets and distribute them (understand donate) to kindergartens, community centres, libraries... a dream! With the money, the mothers will be able to afford to donate the remaining books.
